Care England. The voice of the residential care sector
As the largest representative body for independent providers of adult social care, Care England is passionate about the reform agenda. I want to pay tribute to all the adult social care staff who, as our sector’s best resource, have worked tirelessly during this dreadful pandemic. We owe it to them to ensure that social care has its own 1948 moment.
Ensuring that our workforce is recognised and recompensed is a priority for Care England, we are therefore very proud to be associated with We Care for England This initiative has been remarkably successful demonstrating the worth of social care staff. As nurses, managers, entrepreneurs, hairdressers, cooks, and care workers, we care for thousands of people across the country every day. Brothers and sisters, mums and dads, friends and neighbours. When you need it most, We Care for England.
Our members have told us that having the right information at their fingertips helped them navigate the constant challenges and difficulties during the pandemic. At Care England we pride ourselves on keeping our members informed, but not overwhelmed. This last year has shown the speed at which the sector can adapt, for example it has explored new ways of working with IT and is not afraid of change. Care England is anxious to harness that adaptability to show how adaptable the sector is as it works towards helping deliver that 1948 moment.
