UK Care Week Set to Highlight Solutions
Wellbeing, Technology and Careers in Care top the agenda at this year’s UK Care Week, which takes place on 22-23 March 2023 at the NEC, Birmingham.
UK Care Week absorbs past healthcare brands (Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo and the Home Care Expo) into an event that is inclusive to the whole care industry. The event will unite the care community to address the challenges in social care, celebrate the talent of care professionals & hold a collective voice for change.
The CPD accredited programme will focus on a range of expert topic areas within the field of social care, all of which will be featured within new theatres for 2023. The revamped programme includes digital & technology, workforce & recruitment, business & facilities and domiciliary & person-centred care. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear from leading experts in the sector who will address the challenges that service providers and users are facing and learn about the work that is being done to provide solutions. The programme will also include valuable insight from people with lived experience.
We welcome some new faces to speak including, Anthony Snape, Director of Technology for CQC and Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO of Walfinch Care Homes as well as Kerry Southern-Reason, Managing Director of The Care Home Interiors Company.
Steve Clarke, Managing Director of UK Care Week commented: “The ROARB2B team have curated a programme we feel will equip care professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to improve the quality of care on offer. The range of seminars and training sessions allows us to really challenge thinking, reflect on how the sector is being redefined and unite care the care community to celebrate the crucial work that is being carried out by care professionals.
From solving staff recruitment and retaining existing staff, to providing staff support, accessing finance and digital transformation, the UK Care Week programme puts every challenge on the table and looks for a more unified and collaborative approach to the issues we all face as a sector.”
