ProVantage was started in 2013 by Peter Roberts, having previously spent decades at senior procurement management level in a number of sectors including care, manufacturing, warehousing & distribution, supply chain manufacturing, Local Government and the financial sector. A qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply and having been in Purchasing for over 30 years - most recently with Ecclesiastical Insurance who specialise in the Care and Faith markets, I became increasingly aware of the lack of real procurement experience within the sector - and just how much suppliers were taking advantage of this. To this end I set up ProVantage a few years ago to try to address this directly & to date we've saved over £4M on the bottom line for our clients, many of whom see us as their Outsourced function for support, advice and guidance, without having to carry the internal costs of a Procurement department.
