Helen Whately was appointed Minister of State in the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) on 26 October 2022.

She was Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury between 16 September 2021 to 8 July 2022.

She was previously Minister of State (Minister for Care) at the Department of Health and Social Care from 13 February 2020 to 16 September 2021 and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport from 10 September 2019 to 13 February 2020.
