Jonathan describes himself as the ‘reluctant care manager’ having unexpectedly found himself in a world of social care. Jonathan served as a solider for 16 glorious years and awarded an MBE in 2010. After a brief period in the NHS as a Director he set up his own company STORM focused on health and safety and care compliance.
In 2007 he inherited Rosebank Care Home for Learning Disabilities following the sudden death of his father. Then in 2017 he was he was ‘parachuted’ into Birkdale Park Nursing Home owned by his mum after poor CQC inspection. He promised his mum ‘Ill stay for a few weeks!’ That was 7 years ago. In 2018 Jonathen set up the Care Managers Inner Circle and now has an online membership of 5.7k care managers. Jonathan is passionate about the delivery of OUTSTANDING care having coached and mentored several care homes to a CQC OUTSTANDING grade. In 2017 Rosebank Care Home was graded OUTSTANDING.
